How to fix corrupted files on your win xp and 7

method 1 :

This requires WinXP Installation CD for xp .

Put WinXP CD on drive. Go to Run and type following code
sfc /scannow

And for win 7 run the command directly in the Command prompt.

method 2:

Open the command prompt in administrator mode and type the following command...

chkdsk  (this will check for system errors)

chkdsk / r (this will check for system errors and repairs the system)

This will fix corrupted files in WinXP an win 7
